Browser games on a desktop PC

Begin with the project’s input requirements. Then check browser capabilities, keeping API presence separate from a game’s actual behavior.

Start with the input method

Surfd identifies desktop keyboard and mouse as its input setup. Other projects need their own instructions; there is no universal keyboard or controller layout for this collection.

Capability is not compatibility

The local check below reports whether this browser exposes a few APIs. It does not load a game, benchmark your GPU or guarantee a supported device.

A project can still fail after these checks pass. Keep the game’s own requirements and visible errors alongside the results.

What about Windows?

We have not recorded a Windows gameplay test for these projects. The Skate engine’s native Windows instructions describe that engine setup, not proof that its browser counterpart runs on your PC.

Keep a useful test record

  • Project address and check date.
  • Operating system and browser version.
  • The exact point reached: menu, loading, start prompt or gameplay.
  • The visible error, if any. Avoid a vague “works on PC” label.

ON THIS DEVICE

Check this browser’s capabilities

This checks API availability only. It does not launch a game, measure performance or send device information anywhere.

Common questions

Does WebGPU availability mean this game will run?

No. An exposed API is a capability signal, not a project compatibility result.

Do you have minimum hardware requirements?

We have not established project-specific minimum hardware or performance figures.
